If your friends jumped off a bridge.....

One of my favorite things Mo says are "ja-jas" when she's talking about her PJs. She has always called them her ja-ja's...and it is really stinking cute.

Today on the way home....I said something about her ja-ja's.

Mo: Chloe (a girl at day care) says they are jammies.

Me: Why yes, some people call them that."

Mo: I call them jammies too.

Me: You can still call them ja-ja's. (I don't want to give this up)...

Mo: No, just jammies.....that's what Chloe says.

I know we are a long way off from Mo wearing inappropriate clothing to the mall, or putting on too much make-up to keep up with the "in" crowd. But, I thought Scout and I had some more time to be her main peeps. Nope, at this point, Chloe holds all the cards!!!! Parenting this child has to be the most humbling experience of my life!

Movie Madness

So, I have been playing around with my Flip camera and IMOVIE. It wasn't easy since, for some reason, all this new technology is hard for me to figure out. It really makes me feel old, but I did it. And here is my first movie.....

Mt Hood

Last weekend, we went with another family up to Mt. Hood to play in the snow. Scout and I want to be wintersports people, but we are quickly discovering that we are not. We gave it a solid effort though. We took Mo tubing, which while she enjoyed it, scared the holy SH$T out of me!!! Thank goodness their were other people there to go down the hill with her. She would have been bummed to be stuck with us - watching everyone else go down.

Here is the mountain in all its glory!

Look how happy she is in the snow!!!

Luckily, Mo has plenty of Aunties who LOVE wintersports......hint, hint, Steph, Leah, Whit and Stefanie!!!!!

Baby Obsession Part II

Mo is still obsessed with babies.....I mean we have just come to accept it. But now she has added another aspect to her play.....the Grandmother. Who gets to play this part.....me, of course....I hope this is not because of my rapidly graying hair.

So, we just finished a rousing game of put baby in the carseat, drive to Nana's, I fawn all over the baby....then we go to the store. We have to go to the store because we are out of butter, according to Mo's 'list.'

This little scene will go on and on, played over and over for as long as I will play. To add variety, I am trying to add things to the grocery list.... Mo will have none of that.

Don't feel sorry for me. There will come a time when the last thing Mo wants is to play with me. So I am enjoying it.....

Blog Break

Sorry for the extended break...it just seems that in January....it is hard to do anything after I get home from work. We have done some fun things....but just no time to sit down and write about them.

This is my blogging weekend....expect to see MANY posts to keep you updated on the comings and goings of the Mauldin's.

Time with the 4 Grandparents

So, I will post more about our family trip to the coast later....but what is the result of Mo spending 10 days with all her grandparents? The result is this little tidbit that she said tonight as she was falling asleep.

Mo: "I am so pretty......and, I make people happy."

Enough said.....
