Lately, Mo has been "acting out." She is going through some sort of growth spurt. She is eating us out of house and home, and she is just cranky! Her latest thing is trowing a huge tantrum when she doesn't get what she wants. The tantrum consists of her just standing there and yelling at the top of her lungs.
Our response....."I can see you are upset....you can go and be upset in your room." Brilliant parenting, right?
Mo's response.....storms off to her room and slams the door!
I feel I will be writing this same post when she is 16.

Sounds like a good technique to me. What are you supposed to do if she refuses to go to her room?
